We are the MS Society. We are strong enough to stop MS together.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

A couple of years ago at Christmas my sister was diagnosed with MS.

I didn't really know anything about this disease at the time.  Multiple Sclerosis is an insidious disease where the sufferer's own immune system attacks the structure of the nerves.  An analogy would be that it strips the insulation from the wires that control a machine resulting in short circuits and erratic operation.

Over the last few years there have been a number of promising developments in the treatment of the symptoms and crucially some suggestion of hope for a cure using stem cells to repair the damage done.

Money raised goes directly to the MS Society who fund science and provide support for sufferers and their carers.

I'm just trying to do my bit. Together we can make a real difference.

Thank you.
