I've decided to help my friend Bob Harvey with part of his training ready for his Everest 2012 Trek! I can't manage Everest due to my 'lung shortfall' but am going to accompany him for part of his South Downs Way walk. The full walk is 101 miles from Eastbourne to Winchester and I'm going for 44 miles over two and a half days! More than enough for a novice I feel!  So I will start from Eastbourne on the 14th October and finish at Steyning on the 16th.
