I NEED to loose weight but have struggled to get going, so to motivate myself I have decided to shed the first 3 stone to raise much needed funds for Charity.

BLESMA is a worthy cause, needing just £3 million a year to cover everything, it is a small little known charity that has been operating for over 75 years.

Why have I picked this cause? Those that know me will have seen me puttering around with walking sticks, but did you know that I have spend 15 years as a Airframe Technician in the RAF? and do you know that I am registered disabled from the damage to my leg after a fall in 2006?

BLESMA, British Limbless Ex-Service Men's Association, They primarily help veterans and serving members of the Armed Services who have lost limbs or the use of them whilst in service. I know how the lasting damage to a limb affects you, your family and your life. It was not me who helped my daughter to walk, I can't help her to learn to ride her bike, I fell off a step, but imagine that with the trauma of Battle too.

Of late I have become rather a porker (I've never been a light weight!). I do like my food and unfortunatly can't excersise much due to the pain. I am using the Cambridge weight plan to loose the first 3 stone, Now a week in I have lost 9.5 lbs and am feeling very positive.
