At some point in their lives everybody will face hardship, including the loss of loved ones.  Less than a year ago our family was faced with such a tradgedy. Throughout the years of this hardship Macmillan Cancer Support was there every step of the way, with invaluable support and caring.  Knowing what it was like going through this ordeal, I felt that it was time to show thanks and appreciation for all the help the Macmillan nurses showed towards our family.  For that reason I am running the Loch Ness Marathon on 29th September 2013 with the  hope of raising at least £500 to allow MacMillan Cancer Support to continue to help the numerous other families who at this present time are facing the effects of Cancer.
