Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In February 2020 I had a life enriching trip to Memusi school in Magadi, Kenya along with other volunteers. The foundation has established three schools over the last 15 yrs supporting over 1000 primary children aged 3-14 from the local Masai community. Many of these children walk for miles to school each day from their villages and the school provides often their only hot meal of the day. The current kitchen was built for 100 children but now they feed 400.
Many of these children live in homes with no electricity or running water including my sponsored son Brian. The teachers I met were inspirational and welcomed all the volunteers with open arms and certainly touched my heart.
When Peter and I both retire next year ,we will return to Memusi as soon as we are allowed and will help with education and healthcare.
It would be wonderful if there could be a new kitchen in place to feed all the children and buy food and goats for the community. Starvation has been a major concern for the foundation over the pandemic.
