Story
After a slow start I finally made it down the Mall in 4hrs 38 mins. The atmosphere on the day was unbelievable. To have loads of people shouting your name all along the route and in particular at the Macmillan cheerpoints was sooo helpful. To see my wonderful wife and children at 12 miles helped spur me on. Many thanks for all your donations and here's to all the money we have raised.
Thankyou all so much for getting me over double my original target! It'll make it that little bit easier to stagger down the mall knowing that it will help raise so much money for Macmillan and their work. See you all on Sunday!!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Like many I entered on a whim! I'll never get in so I can tick that box and enter again next year and not get in. Imagine my surprise when the congratulations magazine landed on my mat.
I decided to support macmillan as they were very helpful when my father-in-law developed cancer and aren't really specific to any type of cancer, just offering help and advice.
I'm starting to train properly in the new year and I'm aiming for under 5hrs (subject to change). I'll try to update regularly as I shed the mince pies and sprouts and change into a lean machine (no chance).
Give as much as you can and if anyone you know has suffered with or died of cancer you could send a picture of them and my wife suggested I could print them all onto material/paper and run with them on my back.
Thanks
