My name is Jack and I'm a personal trainer on the Isle of Lewis. Originally from Glasgow, I moved here 2 years ago and have quickly seen that Bethesda is a crucial part of the community. It is the only hospice on the island, and due to the coronavirus, the majority of its fundraising has come to a stop. To help prevent this from having to shut down I am hosting a live workout for EVERYONE to join in - something that everyone can do no matter where they are during this lock down.
Bethesda provides 4 hospice beds for specialist palliative care and 21 care home beds. It is required to raise over £370,000 per year to keep the hospice open and offers a much needed and caring service to those who are terminally ill and those who require nursing care.
