Story
I’m running the marathon..🏃♀️
This year I felt I was ready to challenge myself, make a change and raise some money for a beautiful charity so I took the leap to sign up for my first ever time running the 2024 London marathon.
Five days after my application was accepted and I was over the moon, I was told the news my dad was no longer with us.
Grief is something which can’t simply be put into words but to have a focus and a way to put the emotions into training couldn’t have come at a better time for me, to put my full focus into something beautiful🤍
I will be running for an inspiring charity which is close to my heart @raysofsunshinecc hoping to make some light to a young persons life💛 if you have a penny to spare at all towards a wish granted for a seriously ill young persons life, it would be extra special✨
This will be one of my biggest achievements yet to date and something on my bucket list which I can’t wait to accomplish.. let’s go sunshines 🌞
Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity exists to fulfil the wishes of children, between the ages of 3-18 in the UK, of any race or gender who are terminally or seriously ill. It also buys equipment for these children and support the hospices, hospitals and specialist schools that care for them. The charity brightens the lives of these children and their families by granting wishes and providing ongoing support. Rays of Sunshine believes that every child deserves to experience happiness and put their illness on hold, even if it is just for one day. Their work provides a positive distraction, reduces isolation, improves self-esteem and creates precious memories and smiles. Please visit the link below to learn more:https://raysofsunshine.org.uk/the-charity/Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
