ONCE YOU HAVE DONATED PLEASE EMAIL georgia.roda@dmgt.com TO RECEIVE YOUR DIGITAL COOKBOOK
Thank you for purchasing this Cookbook, made by DMGT Group colleagues. We hope you enjoy cooking all the delicious recipes as they are all made with love.
This book was created by Corporate Responsibility Champion, Georgia Roda, to raise funds for DMGT’s partnered charity Orbis, and DMGT will match fund every £1 raised.
Orbis is an international non-profit that has been transforming lives through the prevention and treatment of avoidable blindness for nearly four decades. With our network of partners, we mentor, train, and inspire entire local eye care teams – from health workers in rural clinics to eye surgeons in urban centres – so they can work together to save and restore vision in their communities, ensuring no one has to face a life of avoidable blindness.
Currently, 338 million people are blind or have moderate to severe visual impairment, 77% of this is avoidable. Women and girls are disproportionately affected with 112 million more suffering vision loss than men and boys. The number of people in need of eye care is outpacing the number of trained ophthalmologists.
Working in collaboration with local partners, including hospitals, universities, government agencies, and ministries of health, Orbis provides hands-on ophthalmology training, strengthens healthcare infrastructure, and advocates for the prioritisation of eye health on public health agendas.
Georgia would really like to thank all her colleagues who contributed their delicious meals to make their debut in the cookbook and a big CONGRATULATIONS to Tim Alden, Art Director for i news, whose recipe was chosen by Michelin Chef Simon Attridge, as his favourite one.
Well done Tim and hope you enjoy your champagne and don’t forget you now have bragging rights!
