This summer I'm part of a team of young people from St Peter's Harrow who are embarking on a life transforming trip to play our part in the global fight against poverty. We're heading to Malawi to visit the Malawi Eagles Project which empowers locals to meet the needs of the community in a whole host of ways.

From digging Vegetable Gardens, to teaching under fives and helping build irrigation systems we'll be right at the heart of how the Eagles are helping transform Malawi.

The team is fundraising in a whole host of ways including a Big Thames Trek - walking 18 miles from Teddington and Tearfund HQ to central London and other events such as car-boot sales.

This will be a truly enlightening experience which I expect to benefit from in many ways, and your help in raising the money would be massively appreciated. No amount of money is too little!
