In May 2021, I will be taking on the true fear factor challenge, worthy of a place on (most) peoples bucket list - a skydive! As LSU Rag are facilitating the challenge, the money will be passed through them and onto my personal chosen charity, the Royal British Legion (Registered charity number: 219279).

I have chosen this charity in honour of my great grandfather, Verdun Hayes. Verdun was a World War II veteran and earned the world record for the oldest skydiver when he was 101 years and 38 days old. Verdun sadly passed away in August 2019 and in his final years was supported by the Royal British Legion, as they offered him trips to visit the beaches he landed on in Normandy during WWII, where he was able to pay his final respects to his fallen comrades.
