Story
Here we go again!! Another crazy challenge!
It is a bit of a classic though and one that I have always looked at and thought "I can do that!"
London Marathon 2014 will be my first ever marathon attempt and it will be hard work! I started training about 3 months ago and I am now realising what a big task it will be!
I am again fundraising for Disability Rights UK who do great work to help people with disabilities find employment and particpate equally in our society as full citizens.
My father is the main reason for me signing up for the marathon and at the same time supporting this charity. He is a great example of someone who does not see his disability as a reason not to live as full and integrated a life as possible, and he is a passionate supporter of DRUK.
My parents have always been there for me, standing on muddy football pitches, driving me to judo, scoring at cricket, cold and wet kart tracks and now offering me support and advice with my adult life and business ventures.
In short this is my way of giving something back to my Dad and Mum who have supported me without asking for anything, I want to share this experience and what I hope will be a great day with them.
As a slight bonus I get the chance to run and share the marathon with my "little" brother Jack, 11 years younger than me, fitter, and some claim better looking!!!
Anything that you can give will go towards helping Disability Rights campaign and implement change to help disabled people fulfill their hopes, dreams and potential.
