Story
Nanny Ros dedicated her life to caring for others working in the mental health and social care team. She was the most incredible Nan who gave everything for her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. Unfortunately Nan had one of the worst years imaginable, a car accident left with her with a broken neck, making her susceptible to pneumonia, which led to sepsis. This compromised her immune system so greatly that even without leaving the house for months, and not seeing family who she dearly missed, she managed to contract COVID-19 and unfortunately despite fighting hard, she passed away on 14th January 2021, just 6 days after being admitted to hospital.
Nan was so grateful for the NHS looking after her so well this year, so we confidently can say that nan would be approving of our choice of charity in her honour. She was proud of all of her grandchildren for all their vast achievements, and even more proud of her three children and knew that they were all finally happy and well.
We are all devastated and shocked by the loss of Nanny Ros, who truly was so much more than just a nan. We will love and miss her forever. ❤️
