Essex to Newcastle Bike Ride

How do you say thankyou to a hospital for saving your sons life when he's only 4 months old?
A very old school friend of mine had that very predicament when his son Seb was born in January 2009.
15 hours later he was diagnosed with a congenital heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot which, if left untreated, would mean he wouldn’t see his 2nd birthday.
Around the time Seb was being such a brave boy by undergoing emergency open heart surgery, I was blessed with the birth of my own son. It really hit home what his Mummy & Daddy must be going through, and how grateful to the hospital they must be.
So, with Ivan (Seb's Daddy) organising his own endurance challenges up north, and Nadine (Seb's Mummy) busy with the black tie ball, I felt the urge to raise some money down south, and decided to cycle from our old primary school in Ramsden Heath, Essex to Newcastle in time for the charity ball. Roughly, we're talking the equivalent of 3 marathons a day for 5 days straight.
Achy legs & tired eyes will be nothing compared to what little Seb has been through.
So here it comes. Dig deep, please donate anything you're able to give. It really does all add up, and with their fundraising pot already sitting at over £82k-odd, it all helps towards the overall target of £125,000.
If you're lucky enough to have children yourself, please, just for one second, imagine being told they might not live past the age of 2 within 15 hours of their birth.
I urge you to donate any amount to help keep amazing hospitals like this staffed & running.

Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou, so so much for helping.
For those Essex based, we depart on Saturday 30th July so please come along & wave us off.
