We fund a network of expert research nurses to help save blood cancer patients' lives

Story

In 2003 I was diagnosed with chronic myeloidleukaemia and was given less than three months to live. Following treatmentfrom Cure Leukaemia Co-founder Professor Charlie Craddock, I have now been in remission sinceJanuary 2005.

To celebratebeing 10 years in remission I cycled London 2 Paris and Le Tour One Day Ahead in 2015 and in 2016 I will again ride London 2 Paris between 19-23 May.

The £1million raised will go towards boosting the life-saving work at the Centre for Clinical Haematology at the QE Hospital - where I was treated by Professor Craddock over 10 years ago. The money will increase the centres ability to deliver pioneering treatments for blood cancer patients at this centre of excellence in Birmingham.

The Challenge

I will lead a closed group of 200 cyclists on a four-day, 500kilometre cycling challenge: ‘London 2 Paris: Inspiring the Revolution’ - which put simply, is the best four days you can have on a bike, anywhere, anytime!
