We offer care and support to the Chelsea Pensioners

Story

We are taking part in the Veterans Banger Rally 2023 to raise money for the Royal Hospital Chelsea's Veteran Outreach programme, Blind Veterans and Back On Track in memory of Geoff Read, a fellow Chelsea Pensioner who died in 2022.

The Royal Hospital Chelsea has been the home of the Chelsea Pensioners since opening in 1692. We offer excellent accommodation, comradeship and the highest standards of care to veterans of the British Army in recognition of their loyal service to the Nation. The Royal Hospital's Veteran Outreach programme aims to support those who have served not only in the Army but also in the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force and Merchant Navy, in particular to those over the age of 65, who might benefit from the company of other veterans who have lived the Service ethos and experienced the unique challenges of military campaigning and war.

Blind Veterans UK provides veterans living with significant sight loss with rehabilitation, training, practical advice and emotional support.

Back on Track supports the preservation of health, rehabilitation and resettlement into society of former members of the armed forces who have been wounded, physically or psychologically, in particular but not exclusively by providing or assisting in the provision of medical treatment (including reconstructive surgery) emotional and psychological support and facilities or other support.
