15 years ago I got the great news I was in remission from Blood Cancer 18 months after I’d been told I may have only 3 months to live. 6 months later found myself taking on one of the toughest sporting challenges. Riding the Tdf route. A team of 5 raised much needed awareness plus a staggering 250k. That was the start of saying thank you to my Prof, Charlie Craddock and his great team within the NHS. Last 15yrs we’ve made great strides but there is still much to do. So here we go again
The event, The Tour 21, will take place from Saturday June 19th to Sunday July 11th. We will take all 21 gruelling stages and 3,470km of the Le Tour 2021 route a week ahead of the professionals. We have 5 places remaining to join me as well! Go to www.TheTour21.com to register your interest.
As a team we are committed to raising a minimum of £1,000,000 for the charity that played a big part in saving my life. All funds raised from this event will be invested directly into the national Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP) network which Cure Leukaemia began funding from January 2020 allowing them to open and run clinical trials for pioneering treatments for the disease. Patients from an increased catchment area of over 20 million people will have access, as a result, to potentially life-saving treatments.
Many Thanks for your support
Geoff
