Just after Glastonbury 2017 my brothers life changed immensely.  After being scanned one Friday night for suspected food poisoning, Alex was rushed into theatre for life saving surgery. With a 40% chance of survival the critical care unit took amazing care of him in the coming days. From ensuring everything was sterile and limiting infections, to 24 hour round the clock care. He was weaned off life support and finally moved down to Ward 20 to continue his journey to recovery. The doctors and nurses really were awesome. The money raised from my marathon run will hopefully go someway to helping others in that critical condition when such personalised care is needed the most.
