Story
As you know I decided to enter the 2015 London marathon ballot and to everyone’s surprise- particularly mine – I got a place! I don’t really have an excuse not to do it and so taking this on as my own personal challenge for this year.
Pinot Grigio/Prosecco/Sav B sales have hit an all-time low in Putney and instead of hitting the bars I am hitting the road in preparation! Fear not – it won’t last forever and I will be glad to swap my lycra and trainers for a sequin number and heels again once this is all finished!
It would be great if you could help me raise money for the charity I am doing this all for. I am running for a local Reading charity which my Father has been involved in for years and I would like to support them - Purley Park Trust is a charity who provide high quality services for people with learning disabilities. They support about 80 people in the local community and their greatest priority is to ensure that each person receives an excellent service. They don’t make a profit and work really hard to make sure that what they do is affordable and is excellent value for money.
It would make these 26.2 ( don’t forget the 0.2!) miles so much easier to have your support behind me and help me focus on that finish line! Any sponsorship is very much appreciated and I will try my very best for you all.
If you are watching the marathon at all, please look out for me and give me a cheer. If not I will see you at the finish line- and remember, mines a large wine or two!
