Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Those who know me will know just how much I love a good Maccies, nights out and sitting on my bee-hind watching TV, however I am trading all of this in to go running instead! Why? Good question.
Almost two years ago my Cousin was in a terrible car accident which left him with severe brain injuries. He was admitted to Nottingham University Hospital's Adult Intensive Care Unit, where he remained in a critical condition for what seemed like an eternity. Little by little, he began to improve and against the odds he finally reached a stable condition.
The summer of 2012 was a scorcher and the ward was absolutely boiling so my Uncle asked for a fan to keep my Cousin cool. The ward said that they could not afford them. Considering the patients in this ward were incredibly ill, it seems unfair that they couldn't even afford fans.
Therefore I have entered the Lichfield Half-Marathon to raise money for the Adult Intensive Care Unit so hopefully they can buy lots of fans and anything else they require for that matter.
This ward saved my Cousin's life and no amount of money will ever re-pay them for that although I'm gonna give it a damn good try. I know money is incredibly tight for everyone but please give what you can, it is going to a place that truly deserves it!
