Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This year I will be doing something that to be honest has always been a slight fear of mine.  I am going to put my faith in the arms of a strong man (here's hoping) and strapping a parachute to my back and hurling myself out of a plane at 10,000 feet over StAndrews with skydivestandrews.co.uk.

I am an Air Hostess by profession so as you can imagine I am trained to stay inside the aircraft, not jump out of it but I am doing this to raise awareness of something that is very close to myself and my family.  A condition that not a lot of people know anything about called Ataxia.  My Dad Graham is a sufferer of this rare neurological disorder.  Ataxia is the name given to a group of neurological disorders that affect balance, coordination, and speech. There are many different types of ataxia that can affect people in different ways.  Around 10,000 adults in the UK have a type of ataxia.  For more information about Ataxia you can visit ataxia.org.uk which explains in more detail about all the different types there are and also what research can do for it.  Ataxia UK is also the registered charity that I am raising money for.

I truly thank each and every one of you for any donation you make.  It means a great deal to me and my family and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

So all thats left for me to do now is to make sure I dont wimp out!!! LOL!!! I know I wont as the strong man strapped to my back wont let me.
