Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was invited by work colleagues Maria and Karen to join a team of 4, and with Philippa, we formed the 'Roving Librarians' team.
Before I started my training, my longest walk was probably no more than 10 miles, so this is a big challenge for me. I am one of those "Are we there yet?" people, and am notorious for complaining when the path starts heading uphill.
As Oxfam helps so many displaced people and refugees who are forced to walk to survive, the Gurkha Trailwalk challenge seems such a good way of raising money for them. In light of the recent tragic events in Nepal, it now seems even more important to try to raise as much money as we can.
