Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, in memory of Darren Hoskins.

On 21st May I will be leaping out of a plane at 10,000 feet to raise money for Chestnut Tree House Children's Hospice. Anyone that knows me, knows that I struggle to stand on a table, so this is a huge personal challenge! Daz, and many other young people I have met over the years, have shown such braveness and determination, so if me being brave for only one day can raise money for such an amazing place, then i can definately do it!! (knees knocking!)

Daz was an incredible young man, who totally changed my life. I never realised when he first came into my life, what a profound print he would leave, I am a better person for knowing him.

Anyone who knew Darren will tell you about his cheeky and very magical glint, which had you doing anything for him. Daz never failed to make me smile, either by saying how nice i looked, or by shouting an expletive across the room! I have never known anyone show so much determination, and courage, and to spread so much love.

Chestnut provided Darren and his wonderful family with much needed respite and support, as they do for many young people and their families across the county. Then, when families are facing the most difficult time of their lives, Chestnut offer end of life and bereavement care. I know first hand what that means to families, and how very important it is.

Chestnut Tree House costs over £2 million to run per year and is run almost entirely on charitable donations.

My dream is to just give a little back.

Please please dig deep, thank you.x
