We are once again taking part in Darent Valley Hospital's Stride 4 Life which was set up by Joan Warwick in memory of her husband who sadly died from cancer at DVH. All monies donated to this fund enable the hospital to introduce the very latest diagnostic equipment and treatments to benefit patients with any form of cancer.

My family has "adopted" this walk in memory of our wonderful grandmother Joan who sadly passed away in 2008 at DVH. Our Nan also received treatment for cancer at this hospital. This walk talks place around the time of her birthday so we use this as a chance to get together as a family and remember a very special person whilst also raising money for a very good cause. We plan to participate in both of the walks this year which will be 7 miles all in all :-)
