Zac Pritchard; ended his life 5 years ago on 25th August. When he wanted support and strategies to help with his mental health, there was none, he was discharged from the home treatment team on the Friday afternoon and ended his life on the Sat morning.
We wanted to create something positive to commemorate this devastating life event, but an event which started the charity. So we are asking people to walk or run various distances in Zac's memory.
Behind the Sm;le
After trying to tread through the treacle of the trauma of the unimaginable loss of their son by suicide, Zac's parents set up a charity offering peer support. It has been a tough road which we are still treading, but seeing others blossom just by being around other people in similar circumstances makes it very worthwhile. Support shouldn't be a postcode lottery.
We will be doing our best to promote support and suicide prevention and postvention
