Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!

We are looking forward to going “Sober for October”, in the hopes that we can raise sponsorship money which will be paid directly to Haemochromatosis UK by JustGiving via this page.

Gayle was recently diagnosed with Haemochromatosis, following years of mild symptoms, which eventually led to almost a year of tests before an eventual diagnosis of the condition.

With this condition being something neither of us had heard of until now, and learning about the impact this can have on the patient’s and family’s lives, we are keen to raise awareness of the condition.

We would like to raise funds for this particular charity, who use the money towards further research into the condition and treatment; they will also use funds to issue hospital packs to patients, provide counselling and support for those affected and their families, and construct and deliver training for GP’s and nurses.

With October being the month we’d planned to mark what would have been our home wedding, we’ve decided to use this month to go sober, honour special dates with non-alcoholic alternatives, and focus on generating awareness for this condition and cause, and hopefully as much funds as possible for this charity.

We would be grateful for any donations (big or small), to help us to reach our target and help us to achieve our goals.

Thank You in advance to all for your support ❤️
