Story
Hi, Thanks for taking the time to read this.
As some of you may know two years ago I was operated on and received chemotherapy for bowel cancer. At around the same time, my dear Mum-in-Law Dorothy was also diagnosed with the same condition. Whilst I responded well and recovered, Dorothy very sadly passed away in February this year. Her last few weeks were spent in the care of the staff at the Sam Beare Hospice in Weybridge. The staff there work extremely hard to provide much needed care and support for both patients and family alike and is run entirely by charitable donation and various fundraising efforts.
This year on the 17th of October I will be running in the Amsterdam half marathon with the aim of raising money for the hospice and l would like to ask all of you to dig deep and donate what you can to help this very deserving cause. Below are just some of the things your donation can help provide.
A gift of £25 will provide transport for a patient to the day care unit
A gift of £45 will pay for a counselling session for a relative
A gift of £90 will fund an art session for our day care patients
A gift of £200 will pay for a community nurse specialist for one day
Again, thank you.
Gavin.
