My initial plan was to ride my bike for 50 miles in the British Heart Foundation Worcestershire Bike Ride on 29th June 2014.  My mum passed away 24 hours before the event and so I took the decision to withdraw and do a 50 mile challenge around Shropshire, date to be confirmed, but looking at late July/early August.

I was diagnosed with a heart condition called Mahaim Fiber Tachycardia in 2011 (More info here) http://www.intjem.com/content/4/1/9

I underwent a procedure called ablation to correct the condition and it is thanks to organisations like the BHF and their research that this type of procedure is now commonplace
