Hi everyone, thank you all that have donated! So kind of you! To those that haven't please do, it's such a worthy cause and the training is going well
An 'Old' Friend at work going by the name of Mike Weaver is getting even older and as he is turning 60, he wants to do something memorable, challenging and also raise some money for a worthy cause. He has decided to invite 13 of us along to hike the yorkshire three peak challenge, which is 25 miles of hard work. As many of you are aware i am not the gym faring type and would settle for running to catch the bus as a weeks worth of cardiovascular bombardment. I smoke, i am a keen lover of a 600g ribeye and also my daily intake of Westons Special Reserve (no ya shorts off (see picture) strong cider)...........So not the fittest lad in the gym!!!! I am packing the smoking in, cutting down the steaks and cider (couldn't them up) and training to finish this northern experience in the name of charity mate!!
Mike is raising money for a cause close to him, i thought as i am going to almost kill myself "Celebrating his Birthday" i would nominate my own cause:
Southamptons Womans Aid..........'Everyone has the right to live free from violence and fear'
Abuse from a partner, or ex-partner can leave you feeling isolated and without teh confidence to talk about your situation or seek support. Many women cannot imagine being able to talk about their experience or find a way to change their situation.
We all have the right to live free of fear, feel safe in our own home and to be treated with respect. For some women that can be hard to imagine - if that sounds like you, rememeber you are not alone, and we can help. Use this website to find out more about what we can offer.

Call the Southampton Womens Aid Helpline on Freephone 08088010304 and talk to someone who understands!
My raised money will go towards ensuring that this amazing service can continue. I personally know funding is an issue! So please get ya cards out and start donating
Thanks
Gav x
PS, If i manage to raise over £250 - I shall partake in my pants!
