Story
On Saturday 26th June 2021, I will be undertaking
a 65 mile bike ride, visiting all 11 London football clubs in the Premier
League, Championship and Leagues One and Two, with the aim of raising £500.00
for a charity very close to my heart.
Back in late 2019, my wife Michelle was diagnosed with
breast cancer, a day that we will never forget. We can’t thank the staff at
Addenbrookes Hospital enough, for without their help, support and
professionalism this journey could have had a very different outcome. I know
that Michelle is one of the lucky ones, she fought this rotten disease, she
went through all the treatment and came out the other side. I now look forward
to a long and happy life together with my best friend, my rock, my wife, my
life.
What I am doing is just a small thank you to everyone
involved at Addenbrookes. Their charity, ACT (Addenbrookes Charitable Trust)
deserve every penny of what I aim to raise on the 26th June. I know
that the last 18 months have been tough for everyone, but if you can dig deep,
or not so deep, depending on your circumstances, I know that I for one will be
so very grateful for every penny I can raise towards my £500.00 target.
Thank you.
