Gary Howes - London Marathon 2023 for Bone Cancer Research Trust

Fundraising for Bone Cancer Research Trust
As many of you will know, it’s been 3 years since our daughter, Yasmin was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer, when she was just 9 years old.
Beating the odds, today Yas is in remission and doing well.
Most of you will also know that Gary is not a big fan of exercise and especially not running, which makes it even more of a shock that off his own back he decided to do something which has left us all pretty bewildered…
On April 23rd, Gary will be “running” (I use that term loosely) the London Marathon 2023. He has been training and lost weight in the process, to try and make sure that he can get through the 26.2 miles in one piece. Gary knows how gruelling and physical an undertaking it’s going to be, but he also knows that what he will be putting himself through is nothing compared to what we witnessed Yas having to endure and sadly what too many others continue to endure. That’s why Gary has chosen to run in support of Bone Cancer Research Trust, the leading charity dedicated to primary bone cancer. Their mission is to save lives and improve outcomes and treatments for those affected by bone cancer. By sponsoring Gary in his quest to run, jog, walk, limp or crawl over that finish line, your generosity and support can make such a difference to so many and help continue the amazing work of BCRT #untiltheresacure
Thanks very much,
Lou and Gary x
