Hi guys, as some of you may already know, GNAAS (Great North Air Ambulance Service) is a charity I actually care about. They've attended incidents involving friends of mine, and having spoken to them about these afterwards, I do not know how they can do it time and time again, I certainly couldn't. This lifesaving team rely entirely upon donations to function, and so this year I'm going to try and do my part for them.
This is going to involve 4 open water mile swims in Salford Quays (Manchester), Windermere (Cumbria), The Thames (London) and Alton Reservoir (Suffolk), finished off by a 2.4mile swim in Ullswater (Cumbria).
Any donations at all (I don't think this page has a minimum donation amount, I certainly don't) would be really appreciated, and in order to do these charities proud I'll be training hard, involving a total of 14 weeks without alcohol (this is worth a sponsorship in itself!).
Thanks a lot to anyone who does see this as a worthy enough cause to donate,
Gary
Minor Disclaimer - Any swims cancellations beyond my control cannot be helped, however I will endeavour to do a similar swim to honour the sponsorship.
