I'm a trustee and member of the London Cycling Campaign because I believe that we need more, better space for cycling in London.  With the capital's population growing by a full tube train each week, there just isn't enough space for us all to get around this amazing city without more of us walking and cycling.  For cycling to become as normal, everyday and accessible as it is in Holland, for example, there needs to be more safe space for people to cycle.  

The London Cycling Campaign has done an amazing job so far - 'Love London, Go Dutch' led to Space for Cycling which, in turn, has been a major factor behind the commitment so far to creating exciting new space in London for people to cycle.  To carry on successfully campaigning, the LCC needs to raise money to operate.  I'm asking for a little bit of your hard-earned cash towards that, please, by way of sponsoring me to cycle the 400 km/250 miles from London to Amsterdam.

Originally, this trip was being organised by LCC and some of the sponsorship would have gone towards the costs.  Not enough people signed up and the ride couldn't go ahead as planned.  However, a handful of us are going to do it anyway, making our own plans.  That means that every penny you sponsor me - as well as gift aid - goes to LCC to help campaign for something that's good for our health, our environment and our economy!  Thank you very much for anything that you can give.
