I am running in the Virgin London Marathon on 21st April 2013 and  am using the opportunity to raise money for Cancer Research UK.  Everybody has had or knows of somebody who's life has been affected by cancer. I am dedicating my run to the memory of Ed Fisher, a  family friend and dad to 2 of my closest friends. Ed died 12 months ago after a short illness. I  continue to take inspiration from my  Father in Law, Pete Briody. Pete has been given the all clear after 5 years of living with lung cancer. Pete was my inspiration to start running 6 years ago and I competed in my first London Marathon in 2008. Pete took part in many half and full marathons and has far quicker running times than me and continues to remind me of this!
