Story
Hi thank you for visiting my just giving page. This is my 3rd year taking part in the children in need big learner relay, Getting involved is easy, all you need to do is make a donation, every penny counts, and once you have donated (you can donate here or use the text donation scheme see photos for the codes) you can "sign a spot" on my car, then my car will be involved in the relay that spans the length of Britain, I will be helping out in some of the relays in East Kilbride and a bit further a field. Not only is children in need a fantastic cause but my family directly benefit from children in need, as a charity they are involved in receive funding from them.. The relay is tons of fun and my whole family get involved, please read my personal reasons for taking part in the relay below.
My grandson was diagnosed with Autism in 2005, and with him brought many challenges, especially for those around him, My daughter has become very socially isolated and my granddaughter has lots of emotional issues surrounding His autism. All 3 of them benefit from a befriending service which is invaluable to all 3 of them. My daughter and grandson go to a group which helps them socialise, unwind and have some time out, in a safe environment. My granddaughter has a 1-1 service which gives her someone to confide in, whilst being out and about doing things a kid should be. Children in need help fund the charity that provides these services to my family, which have had many benefits to all of them. Therefore I help to fundraise for children in need to ensure not just the charity that help my family, but for the many invaluable charities that rely on funding, so they can continue to carry out there work in the communities.
