Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am running on behalf of the New Futures Orphanage in Takeo, Cambodia, which I visited last year and where I volunteered this year. At any one time, New Futures takes care of about fifty children who would otherwise be homeless and runs a vocational centre to train them to be able to work as adults. New Futures also funds a teacher to go to more rural areas and hold classes for children who do not have access to a school.
New Futures rents a home for all the children where there is a carer for daily tasks and a volunteer centre where the children go to learn after school, practice IT skills and interact with English speakers who all give their time for free. Their major daily expense is feeding the children. Their staple diet is rice and a large bag will feed everyone for two days. This costs just $20 or about fifteen pounds.
$20 is a large sum of money in Cambodia so the organisation is constantly looking for funding, to cover its daily expenses and also to secure its long term future. Please help me to help them by running off some of my fat to feed the children!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Camkids who forward to the orphanage in Takeo and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity. You can find out more by looking at www.newfuturesorganisation.com. Or just donate now... thanks for your help!
