Six islands, Six half marathons, Six months

Hello!
In honour of my truly exceptional brother John who taught me so much, I'm running six half marathons on different Scottish islands over the next six months and raise funds for the John Muir Trust who work to defend wild land, enhance habitats and encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to connect with wild places.
I want to raise funds for the John Muir Trust but also promote their work because I feel it's aligned with some of the many things John cared about. Here is a link to a cool short film which highlights why what they do is so important: https://youtu.be/1UIiixu2MZs
So I'd love it if you could check out their website out and maybe even sponsor me. As an extra incentive I promise to plant a tree for every person who sponsors me.
I'd also love it if anyone wanted to join me on any of these weekends, either to run, share a pint or to explore (there are shorter or longer distances as part of some of these events).
These are the dates:
- Stornoway on Lewis on 26th May (sorry, really short notice)
- Arran on 30th June
- Mull on 27th July
- Coll on 17th August
- Cumbrae on 8th September (it's not actually a half marathon, it's 10 miles, but I'll run a bit further to make up the distance!)
- My sixth half marathon will be on the Isle of Raasay a weekend in October. This one is unofficial and will involve running from Arnish to Inverarish (via the high road) and then to Manitoba (via Clachan and Raasay House- no stopping for a pint though!).
And as the Raasay half marathon is completely unofficial and informal I thought there could also be shorter distances (5K and 10K fun runs) and relay teams if anyone fancied sharing the half marathon distance. Who's in?
Love,
Gaby xx
