Please sponsor me to throw myself off a tall building...go on you know you want to ;)
On Sunday the 26th of September I am going to abseil down Battersea Power Station to help raise money for MAG. I would greatly appreciate your help in supporting this worthy cause by sponsoring me to throw myself off a very tall building (I will be tied on....you can’t get rid of me that easily...).
MAG work in current and former conflict zones, to reduce the threat of death and injury from remnants of conflict. These include anti-personnel and anti-vehicle landmines, as well as rockets, missiles, mortars, grenades, ammunition, small arms and light weapons, and many more types of deadly items.
They educate people living, working and travelling through contaminated areas, to minimise the risks of them, their friends and families being killed or maimed MAG’s work is not just about removing landmines, weapons and small arms but about making a significant and positive difference to people living with the remnants of conflict.
While travelling through Cambodia and Vietnam I saw for myself the devastating effect these devices have had, and still have on the daily lives of men, women and children. I know how important this work is and what a difference it can make to the improving the quality of life, access to essential resources, and basic safety of people living in conflict zones. Organisations like MAG are striving to build a brighter future without constant reminders of the atrocities of the past and prevent anymore unnecessary suffering and loss of life.
Please
help them and give as generously as you can.
Many thanks x
