Story
Hello and Welcome to my webpage,
Note: All donations go straight to charity. None of this is paying for my airplane tickets or my bike or food or whatever. I have never done a charity thing like this before and was surprised (not actually) to see that some people raise money for their own expenses.
Nothing wrong about that
but
I just want to clarify that I am paying for my own adventure here.
At the end of March I am going to fly north to Hanoi with 19 other teachers who work in Saigon. We are going to ride our bicycles over 2000 km, from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh city, in order to raise money for disadvantaged children and young people who need help paying for their education.
This money will pay for things like school supplies, school tuition, and uniforms.
Here are the charities:
Saigon Children's Charity www.SaigonChildren.com
The Children's Initiative www.ChildrensInitiative.org
KOTO Saigon www.KOTO.com.au
Live and Give www.LiveAndGive.eu
Our main partner this year is Saigon Children's Charity. The SCC is distinguished for giving scholarships, building schools, running a vocational school in Saigon and working with other smaller organizations that focus on children with disabilities. They enable over 3000 children to go to school everyday in Vietnam.
The journey will take one month, with no breaks.
I am covering all of my own expenses – bicycle, food, room and board, and other supplies.
All the money raised will go directly to the cause.
So… Please show me your support and send me your donations!
Every little bit counts, and it would mean a lot to me to see your name on the list of people supporting me.
The size of each individual donation does not matter, but the support really does.
Thanks so much for reading this page.

PS: For all you Canadians out there. I am the only Canadian on this ride, so make us look good and please donate!
