Story
Save the Children has activated their Children's Emergency Fund to launch a rapid response to the wildfires in California and Washington, where children face serious health consequences because of the pandemic lockdown and smoke from the fires.
The phased response will focus on distribution KN95 masks and air purifiers to families through Save the Children's local education programs, plus other basic necessities and food vouchers.
In times of crisis, when children are at their most vulnerable, Save the Children is there. We are always at the ready — and always among the first agencies that help during natural disasters. We deliver lifesaving emergency relief and stay as long as it takes to ensure children and families can recover from the losses, restore their lives and build their resilience for years to come. Wherever and whenever children need us most, we are there.
