Story
We are raising money for the British Heart Foundation in memory of an amazing work colleague and family members of the GRG Waste UK Family.
Brian Collis, a sales representative for Greenway Environmental and Father to the Director of GRG Waste UK, and Grandad to the Marketing Manager, sadly passed away of a heart attack on 28th December 2016. Anyone who knew Grandad Bri would tell you he was the kindest man you ever could meet. He was known for his storytelling, sweet tooth, and his willingness to help anyone out, no matter how inconvenient it might be to himself. Even though it has been 4 years, the sadness of his passing is still very much with us, and he is dearly missed by everyone, family and colleagues. This is the first time we have chosen a charity of the year, so it seemed very fitting that we would support the BHF and their heart research.
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help us hit our target. We will be holding various fundraisers across the year. Thanks!
