Story
I was diagnosed a Type 1 Diabetic in January 2011 after being poorly, since then I have had a year of ups and downs and battles with this not very nice, invisible disease
I am doing the Great North Run on the 16th September 2012 which is 13.1 miles in total as a personal challenge for me but also with the aim of making people more aware of the disease and raising all important funds which will hopefully go towards one day finding a cure
Finally for others with diabetes I want to prove how much easier it is to live a more normal life if you exercise regularly
I will be extremely grateful for any donations no matter how small to help me reach my fund raising target of £350 - I will do my best to do any donators proud by getting a good time in The Great North Run which is 13.1 miles in total.
