On 23rd April 2017 I have been given the amazing opportunity through my running club, City of Lisburn AC, to run the London Marathon! 

This a a very significant date as on this day 5 years ago our family received the devastating news that my brother Michael had Leukaemia.  For 7 months Michael remained in hospital undergoing gruelling treatment, numerous blood transfusions and bone marrow biopsies.  Fortunately Michael responded well to the treatment and remains in remission This may not have been possible without the invaluable research into clinical trials funded by Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI.  This is what will get me round the 26.2 miles!
