Story
After completing the Farnham Pilgrim Marathon in September, I am now continuing to raise money for Harrison’s Fund by running the Virgin London Marathon in 2015.
In June this year, some friends of
mine had some awful news, their two gorgeous sons, Theo (3) and Oskar (1) were diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
What does this mean?
The disease is 100% fatal.
Most children with Duchenne’s die in their late teens or early twenties.
Most with it are usually in a wheelchair by the age of 12.
It leads to respiratory failure, heart failure, and other debilitating orthopaedic complications.
Harrison's Fund has one goal, to get as much money as possible into the hands of the world's best researchers, who are working to find a cure for Duchenne. This disease is horrendous and Harrison's Fund is doing everything it can to help this generation of Duchenne boys.
Huge thanks to everyone that has supported me so far, your support is very much appreciated.
