Yay- we have run the distance at last. What a year it has been. It's been eventful and the last few months have been tough after finding out I was pregnant with still over 750 miles to go I honestly thought it was the end of our challenge. However after going to my first antenatal appointment and realising how privilidged I was to be having such care it gave me the boost I needed to keep going. Although the longer runs were too much I managed to keep the mileage going with 2 shorter runs a day. Completing this challenge has been tough but the feeling now of having known we have done it and raised money so women in Africa can give their babies a chance of survival is amazing. A big Thankyou to everyone who has supported us. Please keep the donations coming in.

The aim of the run is to raise money for a hospital in Chad, just outside N'Djamena. 2772 miles is the distance from Risca to Chad so we decided a great goal would be to run this distance(the equivilant to 106 marathons).  The money raised will go to support this hospital and the amazing work that is carried out there. Right now in Chad temperatures are around 50 degrees celsius, in this very hot climate G2 provides out-patient services, gives needed vaccinations and provides maternal health care for new mothers and babies to people of a wide range of faiths.  BMS currently have 5 mission workers serving in Chad.  The money raised will be to support their work their in saving peoples lives.
