We transform lives across the world to end the cycle of poverty & disability

Story

2015 March 076.JPGWe ask for your prayers as we undertake a walk of prayer and witness carrying a cross from Evershot to Dorchester. The walk is to take place over seven days finishing in Dorchester on 4th April, God willing.

The source of the River Frome is in Evershot and it flows east to the sea reminding us of Ezekiel chapter 47 where the stream flows from the new temple east to the Dead Sea. Jesus tells us that His body is the temple (John 2:18-22), and from His riven side flowed blood and water (John 19:34). In Ezekiel the stream grows deeper as it goes on until one has to swim to cross it, and this is a picture of the Holy Spirit flowing more and more powerfully from our Lord Jesus Christ. We pray for God’s blessing to increase more and more in this area, and as the water flows out to the sea we seek the fulfilment of His promise, “The earth shall be full of the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea” (Habbakkuk 2:14). God willing, the project of the walk will be in three stages: the first year will be a third of the way to the sea, the second, two-thirds, and the third, all the way.

As well as being a walk of prayer and witness, we hope that as the trees by the water in Ezekiel gave healing, we are hoping for sponsorship for the Christian Blind Mission, for each mile walked. It is at least 12 miles from Evershot to Dorchester, and for each mile walked we would like someone to receive their sight. Christian Blind Mission, a most marvellous charity, can restore sight for £24 for an adult and £95 for a teenager. Rosemary is kindly ferrying me with the car to the starting and finishing places. My friend David Major would have accompanied me but sadly his back is causing him too much pain at the moment.

We would be very glad of your support for this effort. Thank you!

May God bless you.
