We support serving and ex-prisoners to access second chances through education

Story

Here is one of the Longford Trust scholars, one of the 300-plus young people that The Longford Trust has helped. He is now a trainee accountant. The Longford Scholarships were set up in 2004 by the Longford Trust in memory of the former cabinet minister Lord Longford (1905-2001), a life-long campaigner for prison reform and, more generally, those on the margins of society. He believed in the paramount importance of education in the rehabilitation of those who have served jail sentences.

The Fresh Eyes Team also firmly believe in the cause and hope to raise £1,500 which pays for a scholarship for a year. We will tackle the 3 highest Welsh peaks (Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen Y Fan), a challenging total of 17 miles to walk and 7,657ft to climb in 24 hours!

Your support is very much appreciated.

Thank you
