Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In autumn 2013 the Rotary Club of Banbury in partnership with Banbury and North Oxfordshire Academies, Blessed George Napier, Bloxham, Chenderit, Sibford, Tudor Hall, The Warriner and Frank Wise Schools planted 5000 crocus bulbs. Our "Crocus Concerts" in early spring 2014 raised enough to immunise 45000 children against Polio. This year Sanctuary Housing and Banbury Charities have supported a second year of the project to meet the World Health Organisation target of ending Polio by 2018.
Rtns Harry Matthews and I have the pleasure of coordinating the autumn bulb planting and the spring crocus concerts for this second year of the project.
I have volunteered to take on the Millennium Dome Challenge
- to support the two chosen charities "End Polio Now" and "Walk for Water" (Africa),
- as a fun way of doing my additional bit for Banbury's Crocus Concerts Project,
- to celebrate Rotary's 110th Birthday representing the Rotary Club of Banbury, and
- as a quirky part of my personal answer to the question first posed by Lionel Bart's Fagin "What 'appens when I'm seventy?... "!

Roll out the barrel Trust will ensure that 50% of my sponsorship will go to Walk for Water & 50% to End Polio Now.
I hope you'll support me on my unusual expedition at noon on Monday 23rd February!!!
Many thanks - Fred
