In June 2013 I will be cycling almost 500 kilometres from Tallinn to St Petersburg, with my friend and colleague Frances. We are raising money for Professor Winston's charity, Genesis Research Trust.

The charity's fundamental aim is to improve women's ongoing good health throughout their lives and to ensure that more women have a normal pregnancy with a healthy baby. With nearly 250 babies dying every week in the UK from complications during pregnancy, the work of the charity remains hugely important.

My paltry 5 mile cycle to work will pale in comparison to the 6am starts and 60 mile days of this challenge! Please help boost my spirits and sponsor me as much as you can. Every little counts so any contribution at all will be hugely appreciated.
