Story
So I've taken the plunge to join four fellow cyclists on the Help for Heroes - Dawn Raid 100mile ride - about 6-7 hours of cycling!
Whilst I like just cycling at the weekends with the occasional cake stop, I love pushing myself to raise money for incredible Charities like Help for Heroes. I have many friends who are both current and ex service men & women who put their lives on the line for our country and I also have the pleasure of knowing someone currently wounded going through recovery. So donating even a small amount adds up to paying for equipment and support to achieve their goals.
In keeping with the military tradition, the route will set off from the Help for Heroes run Recovery Centre at Tedworth House in Wiltshire, where wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women are helped with their recovery.
We will cycle through Wiltshire, Hampshire and Surrey to the iconic Box Hill, retracing the tracks of the London 2012 Olympic Road Race heroes, before taking a turn into south London and dropping to the meeting point at Blackheath Common before cycling into London with all the other Hero Riders.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
